and analytical platform
Kantrapunkt
We study how power, media and social inequalities shape opportunities for individuals and society — especially under authoritarianism, forced migration and social transformation
What we study
Kantrapunkt works across three long-term research programmes
Rebuilding Human Potential after Authoritarianism
We study what happens to people’s professional and civic potential under repression, forced migration and social disruption — and what helps preserve and rebuild it.
Learn more →Resilience of Public Communication
We study how power, media and civic actors shape the public sphere — and what sustains trust, dialogue and participation under propaganda, polarisation and authoritarianism.
Learn more →Mechanisms and Consequences of Gender Inequality
We study how gender shapes the distribution of opportunities, resources and power — and how gender inequality manifests in institutions, media, politics and everyday life.

Belarusians after forced migration to Poland
Underutilized Human Capital
Belarusians aged 45+ following forced migration to Poland
We study what happens to the accumulated professional and civic capital of people aged 45+ after forced migration: what is lost, what can be preserved and transferred into a new context, and which barriers prevent people from using their experience and skills.
The project combines biographical interviews, focus groups and expert discussion. The result will be an analytical brief with findings and recommendations.

Research, analysis and public-facing expert work
About Kantrapunkt
Kantrapunkt is an independent research and analytical platform at the intersection of academic research and civic practice
We combine research, analysis and public-facing expert work not only to describe social processes, but also to explain the mechanisms behind them and their consequences for people and society.
We are open to research, expert, and educational partnerships
Kantrapunkt collaborates with researchers, media, civil society organisations and other institutions whose areas of interest and approaches align with ours.
We can jointly design and conduct research, prepare analytical materials and expert commentary, organise public discussions, and develop educational formats.
